The General Neurology Clinic at UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Aston Ambulatory Care Center is the starting point for patients who haven’t yet seen a neurologist or received a neurological diagnosis but are referred for evaluation of possible neurological conditions.

Who We Are

We are an innovative clinic that helps create the standards by which neurological care is measured nationwide. UT Southwestern’s general neurologists have extensive experience in evaluating and diagnosing patients with a wide range of neurological conditions.

We offer a variety of treatments in our General Neurology Clinic. After our initial evaluation, we may match the patient with one of our specialty clinics to make sure each patient finds the best fit.

Physician Referral May Be Required

New patients to our Neurology clinics may require a physician referral. Please call us at 214-645-8800 with any questions.

Appointment Information

On the day of the appointment, please arrive 30 minutes early to allow time for parking and registration. We will do our best to see you at your scheduled appointment time.

Please bring the following items to your appointment:

  • Current insurance card
  • Driver’s license or other approved government picture ID
  • Method of payment – credit or debit card only 
  • Current medications
  • Relevant past medical records, if available
  • Completed paperwork, if you received forms before the visit

To facilitate ongoing communication, we recommend enrolling in MyChart, which enables patients to communicate directly with UTSW providers, update contact information, complete visit questionnaires, and request clinic appointments. Sign in or sign up for MyChart.

Canceling an Appointment

If you need to cancel an appointment, please call the clinic or cancel via MyChart 24 to 48 hours in advance so that we can accommodate other patients who might be waiting for an appointment.
