Biography

Oksana Hamidi, D.O., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Endocrinology. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of pituitary, adrenal, and neuroendocrine disorders, including Cushing syndrome, pheochromocytoma, adrenal insufficiency, congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), and adrenal cortical carcinoma.

Dr. Hamidi earned her medical degree at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed internal medicine residency training at Rush University Medical Center and John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago. She then pursued advanced training through an endocrinology fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. 

Dr. Hamidi is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. 

Dr. Hamidi provides personalized, multidisciplinary care for patients with rare and complex endocrine conditions. She is actively involved in clinical research, including trials focused on improving treatment options for Cushing syndrome, primary aldosteronism, and CAH. She also investigates the biology and management of adrenal tumors, with a strong commitment to translating her findings into meaningful improvements in patient care.

She has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Hamidi is also a dedicated educator and mentor, and she is actively involved in national leadership through her service on several committees for the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology.  

Personal Note

When she is not seeing patients or conducting research, Dr. Hamidi enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, cooking, and hiking.
