Biography

Margaret McLean, M.B.A., M.S.N., APRN, ACNS-BC, is the assistant director of advanced practice providers, primary care service line and ambulatory medicine. Ms. McLean completed undergraduate studies at Texas Tech University, followed by a master of science in nursing from the University of Texas at Austin. She also holds an M.B.A. with a focus on healthcare leadership, management and transformational leadership from the University of Texas at Dallas.

In addition, she completed a certificate in obesity management in primary care through the American Association of Physician Assistants and The Obesity Society. Ms. McLean is an adult clinical nurse specialist with expertise in managing complex medical conditions and supporting effective, team-based care. She is a strong advocate for healthcare policy, quality improvement and advancing equity in clinical practice.

In her leadership role, Ms. McLean mentors advanced practice providers, precepts students and presents regularly at professional conferences. She also co-chairs interdisciplinary collaboration committees and contributes to advisory boards focused on shaping healthcare delivery.
